Never Let Me Go
never Let Me Go, which was told in the late 1990s, tells the story of cloned humans without yelling challenging this totipotence technology. Ishiguro is not a supporter of cloning technology, for any purpose. This was revealed from the end he chose for this novel. All places that produce human clones are bankrupt, closed, and in debt. Even after it was closed, Hailsham's debris could no longer be detected. Hailsham, Glenmorgan House, and the Saunders Trust were destroyed following the scandal triggered by James Morningdale: offering people the possibility of having children of superior quality.
Divided into three parts, each part is the life period of Kathy and her two friends. The first part is the period of children to adolescents, the second part of the period enters adulthood, and the third part of the donation period. Initially, this novel was not easy to follow. Kathy, the narrator, immediately opened her story about donors and donations because they were related to her work as a nurse. We don't know what that means because there is no direct explanation. Apparently the author wants us to continue reading and discovering for ourselves. When we understand the author's will, we will more easily read this novel.
