Elusive Harmony (Mills & Boon)
I read this on KU. When this author's books were first released on Kindle, this one was not among them. I periodically did a search to see if they would be released and finally a few more were, including this one. Because it was written many years ago, it's dated so no technology etc. But what is even more of an issue is the unrealistic tone of the romance. The h is a companion to her father, a famous operatic tenor and in fact, he's the best in the world. The h's life revolves around pandering to her father's needs and whims. By accident the h meets the H, a rising star who is also a tenor. They have a spark of something but nothing gets off the ground because both the h and her father see him as a rival. I got so tired of the misunderstandings and unrealistic longings. I truly couldn't see how these two could ever have fallen in love. I'll also just warn the readers that the h does slap the H at one point. Anyway I don't think this one is worth reading.
