The Old Man And The Sea
Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and The Sea tells the story of Santiago an old fisherman who spent eighty-four days without even catching a fish. At the beginning of forty days before Santiago was accompanied by a small boy named Manolin, in his fishing journey for forty days passed without any catch, Manolin's parents told him that the person had become a salao (taken in Spanish salado) which had a meaning of form the worst of luck. Because of that, Manolin, the little boy who often helped him, was forbidden by his parents to help Santiago. How sad a fisherman is labeled as no longer able to catch fish
